Established in 1999, Auntie M's Tea Room and Desserts was a joint concept of partners Michael Warwick and Michael Carter. Having over 20 years of combined experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry, it was always a dream to create, develop and operate a small and unique restaurant. Auntie M's opened along the main street in Morgantown, Indiana. The location was chosen based on its popular route to prominent Nashville, Indiana and Brown County State Park where each year, thousands of visitors trek to see the beauty that the Fall season brings. Auntie M's gives Michael a chance to share his love of baking and his creative eye for providing an atmosphere of relaxation and enjoyment. Over the years, Auntie M's has developed into a hometown favorite where locals and travelers alike can mingle and enjoy a good cup of tea-the English way.
After 7 successful and memorable years in Morgantown, Auntie M's moved to Franklin, Indiana where it could enjoy a bigger space, as well as, a space that was owned by Auntie M's, rather than leased. It was a difficult decision to leave all the wonderful friends and customers from Morgantown but it was also an exciting future for Auntie M's in Franklin. From talking with customers at the Morgantown location, it became clear that many of Auntie M's customers were actually from the Greenwood, Franklin and Morgantown areas so the approximate 12 mile move was made and Auntie M's found a new home along the main street of Franklin, Indiana. Not only is the restaurant bigger but so is the menu and seating capacity. We are still able to provide the same customer service and delicious food that customers came to expect from the Morgantown location. Auntie M's now has an elegant and charming gift boutique in front where customers can purchase fine and unusual gifts found no where else in Central Indiana.
